Hey people! Well, I'm finally here and praying that good things come out of it, lol.
I play just modern genres, but I do either fantasy or non fantasy, whatever your preference.
My only limits are no powerplay and no suicide. Other than that it's all game on.
I don't like one-liners, but that's all I have to say on that. I don't like playing with people who have a "length requirement." The last thing I want when I'm RPing is to feel like I'm writing an essay or job application or that I have to impress anyone in any way. If the RP is exciting, I'll probably give long posts anyway. If my posts start being 2 and 3 sentences, well, I'm probably bored.
Sometimes my emails don't go through, so please please, if you notice I haven't been replying lately, send me a message. I won't get mad, I'll be happy, I hate losing a good RP just on account of email glitches. Let me know if it's ok if I do the same to you.
I have a list of genres below, but I'll try anything pretty much at least once. The only things I won't do are, like, best friends, or teen parents where they already have the kid, and basically anything that requires our characters to already know eachother beforehand. I always want our characters to start as strangers from the beginning so that we can build their interactions from the ground up.
Having a passing glance of eachother in school/work, or spending a drunken night together that neither remembers is okay, but that's as far as I'll go with that. That's why in band RPs I play it either where the band is just forming, or our characters are from totally separate bands on tour together.
Now *sigh* the romance issue. I'll try to make it brief. I play only guys, ok, rarely I'll play a girl but I don't enjoy it. All my guys are, how should I put it? Bisexual? Hetero/homo flexible? Basically, it doesn't matter if you play a male or female, either way you have a chance if that's what you want. But the characters HAVE to have chemistry and the romance has to come naturally and be unplanned. Planned romance set down in the plot where the characters might not even get along makes me sick. Honestly, I prefer no-ro RPs the best, but I know pretty much nobody does those anymore so, you know....
